The house
It was a winery until 1998. It still smells like one.
My grandfather made wine here. When the winery closed the house stood empty for fourteen years, and then we spent six putting it back together without taking away what it was: the schist stayed exposed, the press stayed where it was, and the roof is the same one with new tiles.
We are not a hotel. We are six rooms, two people looking after them, and a booking book that belongs to us. That is why you get to talk to us instead of to a support centre.

Adega
Schist walls from the original house, cool in August without air conditioning. Its own entrance from the courtyard.

Getting here
Twenty minutes from Pinhão, the last three on a dirt track.
By car
A4 to Vila Real, then the N322 along the valley. There is room for four cars in the courtyard.
By train
The Douro line to Pinhão. We will collect you from the station if you tell us the day before.

Check-in from 15:00, check-out by 11:00. Late arrivals if you arrange it beforehand.
